Sure, you could also accuse me of picking her for being a cutie, which is also true.
But when Gordon had the initial tasting of their signature dishes, when he normally rips the chefs & spits out the food, he praised her food. Plus I like the way she carries herself in the kitchen. I think she's got a chance to go far and she doesn't seem like the kind who will shortcut her ethics to get there. I don't think she wins because filming ended last year and from what I hear she is still in Knoxville. If she'd won, she'd be at her new restaurant now.
Why the post title? When Peerless opened in Knoxville a few years ago, my son Trevor was 6 or 7 and referred to it as "that cow ball place". I'll let you figure out why from this picture of their mascot out front.

I watch that and Top Chef. She has a great shot.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch a lot of TV, and I don't cook. So go figure two of my favorite shows are Hells Kitchen and Top Chef.
ReplyDeleteHells Kitchen gets top ranks because Gordon is..well........Gordon Ramsey! I couldn't imagine trying to make a bowl of cereal in front of him. I can hear it now. "Rebecca what the fuck are you thinking putting that much milk in the bowl you bloody moron!"
Yep, we won't go there.
Rebecca
This season does seem to have a much better crop of people competing, should be a great season.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch Hells Kitchen. I do watch Top Chef but that's about it. Hope she does well.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'll have to wait a while for this series to air in the UK. Unfortunately the way the US version is edited really annoys me - it's cut and spliced a bit too much - I like to see the whole conversation and not half a sentence :(
ReplyDeleteShe is pretty sharp. Love Gordon Ramsey and I'll be watching this Thursday!
