Just last summer I was having a backyard BBQ for my daughter's birthday. I had the plate of buns a little too close to the edge of the table. I turned around for just one second and the dog was off and running across the yard with a bun in her mouth. And I yelled "Kira! Leave my buns alone" in front of all my guest. Not my most glorious moment ;)

The innocent look of pets. When we were first married, my mother would enclose a twenty in the envelope with her letters. Our dog Cinder didn't like the mailman and barked her head off when he dropped the mail through the slot in the door. Often she tore open mail, but she was smart. She never, ever ate the money. Good doggie.

Your marinade sounds fabulous. I like soy sauce in mine too.

You always make the best looking steaks I've ever seen Chris, literally makes my mouth water!
Misty is beautiful! I don't ever recall a pet stealing dinner accident but I do remember my dog jumping over the car seat and planting his face straight into my ice cream cone when I was a kid. Also one of my cats (the crazy one) loves to dive into the kitchen garbage can after dinner every night. Gotta love the pets :-)

We had to run to the store for a moment. Fruitcakes were cooling on the counter. We got one block when we realized our Golden Retriever Alice was in the house. We rushed home and it was to late. She had devoured two very warm fruitcakes in seconds. We stilled loved her. Everytime we make fruitcake we get a chuckle with our memories.
