Chris, this is so poetic...funny how you remind me of my son...he never thought he was creative as a child, although boo, most men stay like little boys :), but you are in your cooking, photography, and now the memory you just shared... reminds me of my father and how he also tried to teach me or I should say us...never to give up, that it is okay to get tired now and then and rest, but trek on, and stay focused on what it is you feel you need to keep things right...searching shows our own children that we to are human like them, and I think you are an awesome and cool father to your son...

Great post...although watch those provocative chicken post...might give him ideas when he starts to become a grill master :)
